Camello is the most recent “Select” yarn from Rowan, which means that it will only be available for this year’s Fall / Winter season. It is composed of 68% Merino, 18% Camel and 14% Nylon, knits to a gauge of 28 stitches per 10cm and contains 175 meters per ball. As a bonus the patterns are free with purchase of the yarn.

Cashmere!!

Cashmere Tweed by Rowan is made with 80% Merino wool and 20% Cashmere with a gauge of 22 sts per 10 cm. It is extremely soft and the colours are absolutely stunning.

Hudson Bay Cowl

“Belle” has arrived!

My order of “Belle” by ArtFil has finally arrived. We have over 20 colours and 1 colour exclusive to Wool N’Things. It is great for socks because it contains nylon, but this merino/nylon fingering yarn can be used to knit anything you wish!
ArtFil is based in Laval, Quebec. They use an Eco-friendly method of dyeing yarn by using 80% less water and 60% less energy than the traditional dyeing method.

‘Itty- Bitty’ is another yarn from Sugar Bush, made in Italy, as well:

– Fingering weight with a gauge of 27-32 sts per 10cm on a range of needle sizes, 2.25 – 3.25mm.

– Composed of 65% fine superwash merino, 10% cashmere and 25% nylon, so ideal for sock knitting, as well as, scarfs, sweaters, etc…
